Very Important Programmer PHP Contest Day 2

Day 2 is the contest .. All the participant has been briefed about the rules , how to submit code and etc .

Met Ezwan Aizat , the ruby on rails guy .. his head is  bald !!! his long hair is gone .. huhu .. this is the 3rd time I saw him and for the first time saw him in action .

The contest consist of 6 questions … and the question is distribute by paper and must be answer one by one ( After answering n question , only then you can answer for the n++ question)..

The first question is really so damn hard to understand .. some of the judges said you can use basic input output .. some said you grab from the database and process the output .. it’s about MLM – Multi Level Marketing calculation .. ( argh . i already traumatize with the word MLM 2 weeks ago and it chasing me more and more ) ..

Sorry .. quite lazy to write information about other question .. but hey .. I had fun !!!!

As a UTeM representative .. the fees is sponsored by UTeM , we do get allowance for entering this competition .. and in fact the food is really great .. Coke ? 100 plus ? Jajan ? cekedis ? everything got !!!

Seriously .. it’s like a programmer paradise .. munching the cekedis .. drink some coke and heat up your head to solve problems .. this is a very enjoyable moment .. To other participant .. sorry for my loud voices on the competition .. I tend to be a hyper when answering programming question .. And yeah .. I don’t mind if other participant heard what our team is talking about .. It’s all about enjoying … 🙂

The Result ?

Aizat team won the first place ..(they are from Monash University )

and other team is mostly from MMU students ..

UTeM ? only got 2 places .. 4th and 6th place ..

and Team Newbies ( i mean .. my team since you guys didn’t know ) ?

We managed to get the 4th place .. heh .. At least we still the top team representing UTeM .. :P:P:P

I think got 5 – 7 teams from UTeM .. you guys just got OWNed by Us .. hua hua hua ..

The Prizes

Day 1 of VIP consist of talks from various people .. Mike Reining from MindValley talking about Agile Entrepreneurship , Mr Adli from 3boss talking about Web Security , Sumardi Shukor on Takes you Online Application using Google Gears and lastly by Mr Fakhrur Hizam Mohd on Finishing your FYP in record time using CakePHP.

Speech 2 – Adli Abdul Wahid – Web Security

Most of the talks is about the importance of the web security . Well . I’m hoping he teach SQL Injection or XSS exploit or anything but the talk is to create the awareness among the web developers to keep security in mind.

Speech 3 – Sumardi Shukor – Google Gears – Takes Online Applications, Offline

This talk is about how to make your online application offline . I did get the concept and I also already heard about this at Barcamp Malaysia last month . The concept is that when you are offline , it will store to the local database using SQL lite and when you’re back online , it will push all the data to the web server. Pretty neat isn’t it ?

Speech 4 – Fakhrur Hizam Mohd – Finishing your FYP in record time using CakePHP

If you know that I always despise CakePHP for the lack of documentation .. well .. I Still do .. the documentation really sucks for me to understand but hey .. thanks to this speaker .. I do get the “magic” in CakePHP .. same like Ruby On Rails .. it will automatic create the sql after you create the db and BAKE the Cake . oh boy .. I do feel like going to Secret Recipe and grab some Cheese cake ..

Someday I will going to learn cakephp anyway .. not so soon enough .. I still favor CodeIgniter for the PHP Framework .. since the documentation is REALLY REALLY REALLY easy to understand and follow , the community is great , and it is really lightweight and not bloated with the features that you not always using.

So , the talk is about the possibility to create your web apps MUCH MORE FASTER using php framework and also some of the intro to the newbies about MVC pattern because in order to use the framework , user must need to know MVC ( Model , View , Controller ) approach.

Aku pergi ke Hakim lama di Seksyen 7 Shah Alam yang berdekatan dengan Unisel . Menanti Nuar (yang aku pernah sebut mase entry I hack 2008 ) untuk memulangkan sesuatu yang patut aku pulangkan ..

Masa tengah tunggu dia habis keje .. btw dier bekerja di FTMSK .. more to graphics job .. aku tetibe termenung seketika .. teringat kembali ayat – ayat yang pernah aku ucapkan ketika dahulu ..

” Antara komputer awak dengan saya .. awak paling sayang yang mana satu ? “

I Hack 2008 Uitm Shah Alam

Sebelum aku pergi ke i-hack , awal pagi aku pergi kenduri kahwin kakak Luqman .. sahabatku masa di sekolah menengah dan sekarang amek course dcs (diploma computer science) di uitm sri iskandar .. kemudian aku menjadi abg mithali dengan melayan si hussein (adikku yang bongsu) dengan menghantar budak kecik nie pergi gunting rambut dan pergi ke kedai game membeli game spongebob untuk PSP . Sempat jugak aku carik game yang 4 tahun yang aku puas mencari iaitu Marvel Vs Capcom 2.. jumpe jugak akhirnya . sempat jugak aku live stream event i hack di website mereka ..

Around 2 p.m aku bertolak dari Klang .. dalam 2:20 aku tunggi di ESSO di hadapan UITM .. tunggu agak lama menanti sahabat aku Nuar .. dia plak merupakan lepasan student yang amek dcs kat uitm dungun dan sekarang bekerja di uitm shah alam … more to graphics la kerja dia .. setelah dier berbuat “sesuatu” .. aku boleh keluar masuk uitm shah alam dengan senang lenang .. thanks to him aku x perlu rasa takut .. hehe

Akhirnya aku berjumpa Kagesenshi dan Chaah .. Team Projekt Tango yang aku ingin lama sangat nak tengok .. akhirnya dapat jugak jumpa .. dah 2 tahun aku meleleh air liur nak pergi tengok i hack tapi tahun 2008 baru berpeluang .. x lupa aku juga En Azman . lecturer yang pernah ajar aku maths 2 (aku dapat c- .. kene amek balik tyme degree . chet ) dan juga william dan beberapa lagi senior aku yang wakil UTeM .. cian senior aku .. ada yang majoring network tapi masuk CTF (capture the flag) .

Pentas Dewan Besar I-Hack

Aku jumpa jugak Asannuddin .. kire otai jugak la dia nie .. dier masih lagi stadi di uitm dungun .. tetapi wakil uitm shah alam acara forensics . aku masih menanti soalan forensic untuk ku godam .. mane tau aku leyh buat ker ..

Kat situ jugak ada talk . pameran fyp (final year project) oleh student 2x .. dan x juga booth dari kaspersky .. cgy hosting .. dan macam – macam lagik ..

Around 4:30 .. aku mengambil ecah dan rakan 2x .. pergi antar kawan dier ke kolej ape ntah .. dan sambung pergi ke kapar dengan satu batch dcs uitm kedah .. sangat sempoi kan ? oh ya .. aku berjumpa jugak dengan ieka . tapi x borak pon dengan dia .. aku still segan dengan dia akibat kisah lama .. maklumlah .. main selamba gila bawak anak dara orang mase aku baru clash .. haha .. end of story .. full stop .. 😛

Tidak lupa jugak adegan yang memalukan .. aku salam seorang lelaki yang kusangkakan bapa kepada kawan ecah ..

dengan selamba badak aku kidnap 4 orang anak dara . aku menjalankan tugas aku dengan penuh berwibawa .. lepas drop one of kawan ecah .. berjumpa lah plak dengan kawan ecah iaitu adam .. sgt kool .. ensem seyh .. rambut dier apa tah lagik .. (saya bukan ghey .. itu hanya pendapat peribadi aku aje )

berjalan ke jusco bukti raja dan akhirnya mencampak mereka di uitm ..

FTMK UTeM sangat aktif !

Fakulti teknologi maklumat komunikasi sekarang sangat aktif tidak terhingga . Banyak ajer aku tengok pertandingan – pertandingan untuk budak2x FTMK . Ini bermakna ahli jawatankuasa FICT dan sekutunya rajin membuat kerja .. Tahniah buat ajk fict’s ..

Code hunt untuk budak – budak junior yang baru masuk. Macam amazing race .. siap kena carik makmal – makmal komputer yang ada dalam UTeM nie dan buat coding c++ .. again .. pemenang pon dah diumumkan .
